Obituary for Allan Gene Anderson

Allan Anderson, age 76, passed away January 10, 2021 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He was born December 2, 1944 to DeLloyd and Vivian (Molash) Anderson. He attended primary school in Oshkosh and graduated high school in 1963. He joined the U.S. NAVY Reserves during high school in July of 1962 and served in active duty from March 1965 to May 1967. He traveled to many places in the US and also to Japan. He retired from the U.S. Navy Reserves in 2004 as a Cryptologic Technician.

He met Susan Poeschl at Shoreview Bowling Lanes in the fall of 1964 and they were married April 24, 1965. They were blessed with two children, Gregory (Kathy) Anderson and Pamela (Jon) Morgan; as well as grandchildren, Brittany (Mike) Conger Meulemans, Blake Conger, Alex Anderson, and Brandon Morgan; and great-grandchild Bynlee Meulemans.

Allan worked many years at the Post Office in various roles but mainly as a general office clerk.
In his youth, he enjoyed bowling at The Rec Lanes and was also an avid golfer. He was a die-hard Elvis fan and was a fan of the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. He enjoyed watching his grand-children play sports and playing catch when he could. He had a passion for working with and on computers as well as helping anyone who needed it with their computer issues. He frequented Primo's and Friar Tucks as much as possible. Some may say he was Friar Tuck's version of Norm from Cheers.

A celebration of his life will be held at Seefeld Funeral Home on Thursday January 14, 2021 from 4pm to 6pm. All guests will be asked to please wear face coverings as well as maintain safe social distancing practices.
