Obituary for David John Feyen

David John Feyen, age 82 went to his eternal resting place on Wednesday December 6, 2023.

He was born on August 10,1941 to parents, Raymond, and Ruth (Lehmann) Feyen.  He graduated in 1959 from St. Mary’s Springs. He then met his wife, Shirley McGirl, and married on September 28,1963. They had three children, Linda, Mark, and Lisa. He was a grandpa to Austin and Isabel Feyen, and Jake Kolvenbach.

David started his career as a self-taught mechanic.  He was a man who was able to take things apart and then figure how to put them back together.  Whatever was broken he was able to fix, especially for his family, friends, and customers.

He owned Dave Sales and Service located in Peebles Wisconsin for 20 years, then moved to work for Service Motors. Ended his 52-year career by retiring from Holiday Automotive. 

David loved playing golf (as well as watching it), bowling, and working on his 1988 red Mustang Convertible, and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events. David and Shirley enjoyed wintering in Florida for many years together as snowbirds.

David was survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Feyen; children; Linda, Mark (Amy) Feyen and Lisa nee Feyen Kolvenbach; grandchildren; Austin and Isabel Feyen and Jake Kolvenbach. Siblings; Bob (Mary) Feyen, Ken (Shirley) Feyen, Richard (Jean) Feyen, Kathryn (Jim) Bertram, Jim (Judy) Feyen, Tom Feyen, Mary (Brian) Krueger; sister-in-law; Bernice Krueger, and brother-in-law, Ralph (Rita) McGirl.

Along with many nieces, nephews, and friends especially his dearest friends Kathy, Esther, Sophie and Wayne.

David was proceeded in death by his parents, brother, Michael Feyen; sister-in-law, Ilene Feyen; In-laws Earl and Emma; brothers-in-law, Kenneth McGirl, John (Vera) McGirl, and Pat Krueger, sister-in-law Dorothy (Bill) Roberson, and his best friend Jim Nett. 

The Funeral will be held at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac, WI 54937 on Thursday December 14,2023; Visitation will be held from 1pm to 4pm with services to follow.
