Obituary for Debbie S. Albrecht

Debbie Albrecht, age 64, of Oshkosh took her last breath on earth and her first breath in heaven on September 4, 2021. She passed peacefully with her family by her side after a courageous 11-year battle with breast cancer. She was born on December 9th, 1956, in Oshkosh, to the late Robert and Charlotte Zwicky (nee Schaefer).

Debbie loved spending time with family and friends and being social! Her favorite things were shooting pool, playing cards or bingo, and being on the water. Growing up as one of 13 children provided endless stories and social circles. After graduating from Oshkosh West High School, she served as a waitress for almost 30 years while proudly raising her daughters. She was married Dec. 6, 1975, to her high school sweetheart, Frank, for 25 years. Her pride and joy later became her grandchildren. In her final weeks Debbie spent a week up north with her family and celebrated with an Ohana Luau. She will always be remembered for her quick wit, contagious laugh and bright smile!

Debbie is survived by her daughters: Tanya Albrecht (Eric Clauss) and Tammy Albrecht (Chris Smith); grandchildren: Katarina Eiler and Braylon Smith; siblings: Bill (Rosanna) Zwicky, Kathy (Daryl) Zwicky, Vickie (Carl) Schwerin, Steve (Kathy) Zwicky, Jim (Sherry) Zwicky, Barbara (Randy Nelson) Konkel, Sue (Jeff) Rabe, Ron Zwicky; 20 nieces and nephews; and family through her previous marriage into the Albrecht family; childhood friend Shirley Wilke and children Brian, Scott, and Kristy; and lifelong friend Bobby Marquardt. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Char Seitz, Bob Zwicky, Diane Zwicky and one sister in infancy.

A celebration of life service will be held for Debbie on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Lutheran Church, 1850 American Dr, Neenah, WI 54956. Visitation with family will be at 10 a.m. until time of service.

We would like to thank Mom’s amazing oncology team at Froedtert Clinical Cancer Center and her care team through ThedaCare.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Debbie’s name.
