Obituary for Ellen Jane Faust (Ruddy)

Ellen Jane Faust, age 90, of Oshkosh, died Friday morning, January 4, 2019, at Lakepoint Villa in Oshkosh. Born on January 15, 1928, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Russell and Margaret (Pommerening) Ruddy. Ellen married Richard Juedes, and after his death, she married George Faust, who also preceded her in death.
A long-time Teacher’s Aide in the Oshkosh Public School System, Ellen enjoyed embroidering, sewing, reading, card playing (especially Poker and King’s in the Corner). She particularly loved time spent at the family cottage. She had a penchant for trying her hand at winning at the slot machines at various casinos.
Ellen’s biggest enjoyment came with the time spent with her family. She had a fabulous sense of humor and was a great listener. She had a wonderful habit of interjecting a humorous song during a conversation. She was a life-long member of Peace Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her children, Steven (Cheryl) Juedes, Michael (Bonny) Juedes, and Barbara (Duane) Molash, all of Oshkosh; son-in-law, Bruce Marson of Appleton; step-children, Pam (Paul) and Lynn; ten grandchildren, Christa (Eric) Fulwiler, Jason Skinner, James (Angie)Juedes, Jeremy (Kayla)Juedes, Nicholas (Becky)Juedes, Joshua J. (Danielle)Juedes, Joshua M. Juedes, Matthew (Katie) Juedes, Brett Molash, and Katelyn (Tyler) Olds; step-grandchildren, Eric and Carrie; 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; her siblings, Kathy (Craig) Karkula, and Craig (Nancy) Ruddy; her sisters-in-law, Lois Spanbauer, Lois Juedes, and Jerry Ruddy. Ellen was preceded in death by her husbands, a daughter, Judy Marson, her siblings, Owen, Germaine, Merle, DuWayne, and James.
Memorial funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at Peace Lutheran Church, 240 W. 9th Ave., with Pastor Brad Dokken officiating. A time of visitation and sharing of memories will be held from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in Ellen’s name.
