Obituary for Gilbert Harvey Kunde
Gilbert “Gib” Kunde, age 97, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. He was born in Oshkosh on January 6, 1926, the son of the late Harvey and Florence (Cartwright) Kunde. Gib worked for Lenox Candle Company for 32 years. He enjoyed his long walks, but spent most of his time as an avid fisherman who often rode his bike home with a full bucket of Fish. He will be remembered for his ability to talk to and befriend anyone.
Gib is survived by his sister, Charlotte Manteuful; many nieces and nephews; wonderful friend, Candace Wegner. He was preceded in death by his sisters: Virginia (Del) Wing, Helen Kunde and Mary (Delvin) Orth; brother, Richard (Barbara) Kunde.
A visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Seefeld Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh.
