Obituary for Harvey Edwin Rumlow

Harvey “Boots” E. Rumlow Jr., age 76, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021. He was born in Oshkosh on July 3, 1945, son of the late Harvey Sr. and Anna (Matschi) Rumlow. He was proud to serve in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam, and went on to earn a degree from Fox Valley Technical College in Marketing. On August 19, 1972 he married his loving wife of 49 years, Susan Mueller, at First United Methodist Church in Sturgeon Bay. Boots was a rewind operator at Bemis for many years. He enjoyed his horses, dogs, cats, boating, wood working, and very frequent visits to the Omro Piggly Wiggly, so his family always knew what was on sale. Boots will be remembered for his love of animals, quick wit, and for being a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Boots is survived by his wife, Susan; children: Angela (Matt) Hinz and their daughter, Clarissa, Tim (Martha) Rumlow and Ryan Rumlow; brothers and sisters: Ruth (David) Olejnik, Cheryl (Paul) Diedrich, Charmian (Kim) Hasse, Ronnie (Kathy) Rumlow, Stevie Rumlow and Susie Rumlow Rennert; mother-in-law, Evelyn Mueller; and brother and sisters-in-law: Douglas (Teri) Mueller, Sandra (Michael) Smith and Chris Mueller. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jeffrey S. Rumlow; and brother-in-law, Randall Mueller.

A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021 at FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 700 W. Linwood Ave., Oshkosh, with Rev. Russ Frees officiating. .
