Obituary for James Dehn

James A. Dehn, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022. Jim was born on August 4, 1946, the son of the late Lester and Donna (Newton) Dehn. He was very proud to serve in the U.S. Army, V.N.W., in the 9th Division. When he came home he married Susan Dubinski-Dehn on October 25, 1969. Jim and Sue had two children: an infant son who preceded Jim in death, born September 7, 1974, and daughter, Shelly Ann Dehn. James loved time with family and friends. He was known to watch racing, and fish with Captain John and Brad at Dead Reckon Charters. Jim fished with them and many family and friends for many years. He spent many retirement years with his ice cream eating little buddy, Brandy.

Jim is survived by his daughter, Shelly Dehn; Garcia; special friend and son-in-law, Nick Quast; special and loving sister, Judy Nemitz; brothers: Larry and Jack; proud grandpa of five: Emily Hershberger, Abigail Hershberger, Natalie Hershberger, Jonathan Hershberger and Nicolas Quast Jr.; and special niece, Renee (Larry) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his special friend, Susan Dehn; son; his parents; and brother, LeRoy.

A visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 2, 2022 at First English Lutheran Church, 1013 Minnesota St., Oshkosh. Burial with Military Honors will be in Lakeview Memorial Park following the service.
