James “Jim” J. Troudt, age 90, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, October 2, 2021. He was born in Oshkosh on June 29, 1931, the son of the late William and Mary (Ostwald) Troudt. On April 7, 1956 he married Joan Dobish at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Oshkosh. She preceded him in death on October 1, 1996. Jim was a life long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Jim was a ripsaw operator for over 40 years at Morgan Door. He enjoyed golfing, and watching his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports. Jim enjoyed Wisconsin sports, especially the Packers. He will be remembered for the love he had for his family.
Jim is survived by his children: Barb (Steve) Rothenbach, Gary (Dina) Troudt and Dennis (fiancée, Tricia) Troudt; grandchildren: Dave, Jaci and Jenna Rothenbach, Amanda (Andy) Woller, Mitchell Troudt, and Kristin (Ben) Phillips; great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Dylan, Evan, Anna, Lauren, Colton, Carson, Noah, Ryan and Madelyn; brothers-in-law: Richard Schneider and James Dobish; and sisters-in-law: Ruth Dobish and Gail (Maris Veidemanis) Dobish. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; his parents; sisters: Betty Troudt and Mary Ellen (Wayne) Wenzlaff; brother, William D. Troudt; father and mother-in-law, Carl and Lydia Dobish; sisters-in-law: Patsy Schneider and Nancy Frank; and brothers-in-law: David, Steven and Robert Dobish; Norma Troudt daughter in law.
A visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at IMMANUEL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 338 N. Eagle St., Oshkosh, with Rev. John Dorn officiating. A private family burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh.
