Julieanna Catherine Ehrenberg, age 99, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, surrounded by family and friends at her home at the Waterford in Oshkosh. She was born on September 23, 1921, the daughter of the late Albert and Amy Mae (Knapp) Hazelwood. In the Town of Lind, Waupaca County, Wisconsin. She graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1939. She was introduced to her future husband, Russell George Ehrenberg, by his sister, Dorothy, when they offered her a ride home from work. They were married on November 21, 1940. Their union resulted in the birth of her two daughters: Vicki Lee and Karen Sue. Julie was a hard worker until the age of 83 and worked as a very talented seamstress for Oshkosh B’gosh for 29 years, and also Kings and Jansen’s. She was a long-standing member of First Presbyterian Church and throughout the years served in several positions, as a deacon, usher and seamstress for window coverings and church banners. She was a senior member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Julie was a loving and generous wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, great, great-grandmother and friend for many until her health started to decline. She had a quick and sharp wit, and often times had “the last word.”
Julie is survived by her daughter, Karen Moore of Naches, WA; grandchildren: Judson and Luke Moore of Bellingham, WA, Clark (Lynn) Moore of San Ramon, CA, Vicki Moore of Naches, WA, Jay (Stephanie) LeBeck of Virginia Beach, VA, and Stacy Johnson of Omro, WI; great-grandchildren: Jordan, Gavin and Jonah Moore, Angela (Chad) McKinney, Cory LeBeck, and Matthew, Madison and Mackenna Johnson; great, great-granddaughter, Elliana; loving and supportive niece, Paula-Rae Rost; and numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell; daughter, Vicki; two sons-in-law: John Moore and Roland LeBeck; and siblings: Carlisle, Alberta, Robert, and twins: Dalores and Valores.
A visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Seefeld Funeral Home. Burial will be at Lakeview Memorial Park, Oshkosh.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff at The Waterford and the staff at Heartland Hospice for their wonderful care. The family would also like to thank her many friends from church who have been so supportive during her last years.
