Obituary for Margret Ann Grundy (Kraemer)

Margaret Ann Grundy “Beanie” passed away peacefully at Mercy Medical Center on Monday, November 26, 2018 at the age of 98 surrounded by her loving family. Margaret was born on October 27, 1920, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Roy and Clemencia (Miller) Kraemer. She was united in marriage to Mark Grundy on April 16, 1952, and he preceded her in death on April 16, 2001.
A graduate of Mercy Medical School of Nursing, Margaret enlisted during WWII as a Registered Nurse with the US Army with the rank of Lieutenant. After the war and her marriage to Mark Grundy, she settled down to life on the family farm on Ryf Road. Margaret became a foster mother, she cherished and loved the children, whom she always thought of and treated as her own. She was a caring, giving, and nurturing soul who touched countless lives. She enjoyed reading, loved her needlepointing, and over the years developed an expansive owl figurine collection. Her and her husband loved to host huge gatherings for the holidays in their home with friends and family. Margaret was an exuberant individual who dedicated her life to ensuring individuals around her always felt welcomed and wanted the best for them.
Surviving Margaret are her four children, Betty Schroeder, John (Sarah) Zblewski, Larry Beck, and Russell Clark, all of Oshkosh; ten grandchildren, Jennifer (Ezra), Matthew (Stephanie), Brittany (Justin), Mary Jo (Kurt), Heather (Nich), Zachary, Sheila, Jeremy, Perry, and Richie; seven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Mark; two infant children; a son, Robert Beck; a son-in-law, John Schroeder; two brothers, Roy and Robert Kraemer; and a sister-in-law, Marion Kraemer.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Seefeld Funeral Chapels located at 1025 Oregon Street, Oshkosh, WI 54902. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be from 11 a.m. to the time of service. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park following the service.
