Obituary for Marian Mae Wermuth (Wilber)
Marian M. Wermuth passed away during a brief illness on Jan 26, 2021 at the age of 98. She was born May 1, 1922 in Butternut, WI to the late Ernest A. and late Jane E. (Carpenter) Wilber.
Marian spent her years supporting family and friends, willing to help anyone in need. She loved her cats, eating broasted chicken, baking bread, braiding rugs, putting hair in pin curls; and watching Alfred Hitchcock, Phil Donahue and Carol Burnett Shows, and court TV.
For 25 years, she owned and operated Marianne's Saloon, Main St, Oshkosh, with her late husband Mileson (Bill); enjoying the jukebox and shuffleboard. She retired at age of 72.
Marian is survived by her children: Kathleen, Dennis (Cheri), Susan (Tom), Peggy (Arno); 8 grandchildren: Janice, Darcy, Tracy, Mark, Lisa, Eric, Nate, Kim; 11 great-and 17 great-great grandchildren; half siblings: Merle, Shirley, Hazel, Clinton. Siblings preceding her in death: Lody, Nelma, Blanche, Glen, Floy, Clyde, Roy; half sibling Gordon.
The family thanks Marian’s friends who helped over the years and medical staff at Ascension NE WI Mercy Hospital. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cards and condolences may be sent to Kathy Teichmiller 2117 Jefferson St Oshkosh.
