Obituary for Marlo William Roberts

Marlo “Harp” William Roberts, age 86, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022. He was born in Eldorado on October 21, 1935, the son of the late William and Burnett (Gillen) Roberts. He was married to Joyce Hinz, who preceded him in death on April 13, 1980. On July 25, 1981 he married Mary Pfeiffer at Our Saviors U.C.C., Ripon. Marlo was proud to work at Mercury Marine as an engineering tester for nearly 40 years, retiring in 1995. He was a life-long member of St. John Lutheran Church, and was active in the Eagles Club, Fond du Lac. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Marlo will be remembered for being a warm and loving man with many friends.

Marlo is survived by his wife, Mary; daughter, Christine (Bruce) Zuelke; step-children: Linda Francour, Sherry (William) Simons and James (Laurie) Sasada; grandchildren: Sara (Shaun) Hileski, Ashley (significant other, Chad Templeman) Zuelke, Adam (Emily Sugars) Zuelke, Jared (Alison) Sasada, Kailie (Nathan) Heinz and Tysen Templeman; great-grandchildren: Gavin and Elijah Hileski, and Brynleigh Heinz; daughter-in-law, Laurie (Dale) Mishleau; sisters: Beverly (Mike) Ganter and Rosie Pfeiffer; LaVerne Roberts, Larry Roberts and Darrell (Sally) Roberts; and sisters-in-law; Mary Roberts and Jeanine Roberts. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Joyce; son, Marlo Jr.; brothers: Duane Roberts and Arland (Roane) Roberts; and sisters: Darlene (Lee) Zwicky and Sharon (Sam) Bradley.

A visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2022 at Seefeld Funeral Home. The visitation will continue on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at ST. JOHN LUTHERAN CHURCH, 491 Old Oregon Rd., Town of Nekimi, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Marlo’s name is being established.
