Obituary for Nancy J. Suda

Nancy Jane Suda, age 84, went to her heavenly home on Friday, February 4, 2022. She was a beloved wife, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother, and a Christian. She was born in Oshkosh on August 22, 1937. Nancy was the first of three children of the late Albert and Muriel (Brusius) Rand. She graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1955. On August 29, 1970 she married Roger Suda in Oshkosh at Sacred Heart Church. Roger “Rog” and Nancy went on to have one son, Dan.

Nancy worked as a Bookkeeper, Receptionist and in food service. She was a Receptionist at both Kitchen Specialists and Anchor Bank. Before retiring, she was in food service at South Park Middle School, which was just a few blocks from where she grew up. She very much enjoyed being amongst the middle schoolers.

She loved chauffeured car rides from Rog, playing cards, cribbage with a local group, trying her luck at slots and cheering on the Green and Gold. Nancy frequently shouted “Go Pack Go” and could be heard by neighbors when cheering during the game. She enjoyed decorating for holidays and would spend her whole birthday month enjoying her birthday. Nancy definitely celebrated life, she was the first to say “prost” when having a drink.

She was a loving grandmother and was happiest when she was hanging out with her grandchildren and family. Those that knew her know she would commonly carry on about her grandkid's latest adventures.

Rog and Nancy were married for 51 years, Rog lovingly referred to her as his “Fancy Nancy”.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Roger; son, Dan (Shannon) Suda; grandchildren Ethan (19) and James (16); and brother Gary (Sue) Rand. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; sister Judy (Julynn) Langeberg; and special aunts Melba (Rod) Brusius and Eleanor (Robert) Suda. Nancy felt very fortunate to have two close, loving neighbors, Dave & Ruth Olejnik.

A celebration of life in her honor will be held in the gym at FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1013 Minnesota St., Oshkosh on Saturday, April 30th at 10:30am, luncheon at 12:00pm. A private visitation and burial will be in Oshkosh at Lake View Memorial Park.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memories can be shared at www.seefeldfuneral.com.

We would like to offer our sincere thanks and gratitude to the amazing staff of Aurora Medical Center of Oshkosh who gave such wonderful care of Nancy.
