Obituary for Neil T. Booth

Neil T. Booth, age 67, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. He was born in Berlin, WI on July 8, 1954, the son of the late Ronald and Arlouine (Rohde) Booth. On December 26, 1974 he married his wife of 46 years, Lynette Owens. He graduated from Oshkosh High School and went on to attend Indiana Trade School and received a degree in Explosives Engineering. He used his degree to be an explosives engineer in Heavy Highway Construction in Colorado for many years. Later he became a heavy equipment mechanic, working for Caterpillar. Neil enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, swimming, woodworking and tinkering. “If he couldn’t fix it, it was no loss.” He had an amazing baritone voice and loved to sing. Neil will be remembered for the love he had for his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Neil is survived by his wife, Lynette; sons: James (Sandy) Booth, Jeremy (Heidi) Booth and Justin Booth; grandchildren: Ronald, Alexis, Isaiah, Joshua and Julia; and sister-in-law, Diane Booth. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Andrew; and brothers: Gary Booth and Harold Booth.

A visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at WAUKAU UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 2644 State Hwy 116, Waukau, with Rev. Mulongo Mpoyo officiating. A memorial gathering will take place in Leadville, CO at a later date.
