Obituary for Ralph Raymond Pieper

Ralph Raymond Pieper, 95, passed away on July 17, 2023, in Wisconsin. He was born on November 25, 1927, in Milwaukee, WI, to Mary (Schutkowski) and Walter Przepiora.

He was very proud of his Polish heritage. Ralph was known as a “social bug,” to all who knew him. His personality was bright and contagious. Ralph proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He enjoyed Friday Fish and refreshing beverages with close friends. Ralph was a member of a local camping group which gathered yearly to camp, bike, practice archery, and of course fish. One of his favorite sayings was “A bad day of fishing or golfing is better than a good day at work.”

Ralph is survived by his children, Lynn (Richard) Sonnentag and James (Lisa) Pieper; sister, Carol Wiski; grandchildren, Ryan (Hillary) Sonnentag, David (Sarah) Pieper, Aaron (significant other Emily G.) Pieper and Jacob (Alexandra) Pieper; great-grandchildren Connor, Alec and Micah Sonnentag and Jordan Pieper; as well as many special nieces and nephews.
Proceeding him in death are his parents, Walter Przepiora and Mary (Schutkowski) Przepiora; widows, Carol (Jones) Pieper and Miriam (Haebig) Pieper.

Visitation will be held at St. Raphael the Archangel Church, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, on Friday, July 21, 2023, from 9:00am to 11:00am, with services to follow. The burial will take place at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, on Friday as well, at 2:00pm.
