Richard R. Schumacher, age 92, passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021. He was born in Sheboygan on September 24, 1928 son of the late Hugo and Hulda (Polster) Schumacher. On August 18, 1951 he married his wife of 69 years, Beverly Kelley. Richard was proud to serve in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for many years at Speed Queen in Ripon. Richard was known to enjoy being active which included bowling, golfing and singing in the Sacred Heart Church Choir. He will be remembered for being very lovable and outgoing. Richard was very faithful to his church and his family.

Richard is survived by his wife Beverly; children: Deb (Gordy) Krueger, Bob (Lisa) Schumacher, Mark (Bonnie) Schumacher, Jean (Brent) Davis, Rick (LeAnne) Schumacher, Geri (Bob) Langenfeld, Tony (Patti) Schumacher and Allan Schumacher; grandchildren: Richard Krueger, Matthew Krueger, Kayla (Jason) Fournier, Stewart Schumacher, Robyn Hardy, Kristin (Justen) Stracy, Nicole Schumacher, Ashley (David) Sawyer, Keith Davis, Dylan Schumacher, Joshua (Becca) Langenfeld, Amber Langenfeld; and great-grandchildren: Preston, Madison, Tyler, Louis, Lily, Elliana, Brielle, Olivia, Ryder, Hudson and Aiden. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers and sisters: Herman, James, Janette, Mildred, Mary Jane, Thomas, Joan, Patricia and Nancy.

A visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the memorial mass at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2021 at St. Jude the Apostle, Sacred Heart Site, 519 Knapp St., Oshkosh. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Richard’s name is being established.

The family expresses a special thank you to the staff at Oakwood Manor, and the entire staff at Ascension NE Wisconsin Mercy, and Dr. Vicente for their wonderful care.
