Obituary for William Charles Hinz

William C. Hinz passed away January 9, 2021. He was born December 27 1935 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to Frank Sr. and Lillian (Leonhardt) Hinz.

Bill was always called Mr. Fix It, he was constantly tinkering with cars and repairing anything he could. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Bill loved to go on motorcycle rides with his fiancé Sharon Bruette and together they went to the Badlands, and Sturgis in South Dakota, as well as to Cranfest in Warrens, WI. Bill always loved playing in the family kickball tournament, deer hunting, duck hunting, and even built a house in Pickett. He will be remembered for his sense of humor.

Bill is survived by his fiancé, Sharon Bruette; niece, Stephanie (Michael) Eaton and her children, Tanner Eaton and Cydney Eaton and many other nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Frank Sr. and Lillian Hinz; brothers, Richard Hinz, and Frank Hinz Jr.; sister, Rose Geffers; and his uncle, Charles Leonhardt.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park, 2786 Algoma Blvd, Oshkosh, WI. On Tuesday, January 19, 2021 a time for visiting will begin at noon and take place until the time of service at 2pm. Burial will follow.
