Obituary

William E. Kellesvig, passed away on Wednesday morning, January 16, 2019. He was born on November 23, 1933, the son of the late Orton and Teckla (Birrenott) Kellesvig. Bill proudly served the US Army from 1954 to 1956 in Japan. He worked as a bar manager for many years at Feiler’s Supper Club in Madison. Bill loved being in the outdoors which included hunting trips with his friend Gordy, and his many fishing trips in Canada. The occasional trips to the casino with Darlene were also enjoyed. Bill was an avid Cubs fan. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and love of spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Tanya (Kurt) Munson, Eric (Danette) Kellesvig, Elizabeth (Janice Retelle) Kellesvig and Connie (Mike) Day; grandchildren, Michael Koeller, Amanda Koeller, Zack Kellesvig, Jake Kellesvig, Jarred Day, and Mason Day; great-grandchildren, Trentin Koeller, Maverick Bartow, and Easton Kellesvig; brother, Jack Kellesvig; and brother-in-law Roy Haase. He was preceded in death by his former wife and good friend Darlene Williamson; and his sister, Audrey Haase.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gordy Krueger, his friend and hunting buddy; Sue Hammerseng, the director of Simeanna, and the friends he made at Simeanna; Feiler’s Supper Club; and to Bethel home staff for their amazing care.
Per Bill’s wishes, a private service will be held at a later date.
