Obituary for Ruth Mildred Grimm (Albright)

Ruth Mildred  Grimm (Albright)
Ruth M. (Albright) Grimm, age 95, of Oshkosh, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017. Born on May 18, 1922, in the Town of Metomen, Fond du lac County to William H. Albrecht & Ella H. (Miller) she attended Osbourne Country School, and graduated from Ripon High School in 1939. After, she attended Oshkosh Business College. She began her career in December of 1941 where she helped to open the Fond du lac Draft Board. Throughout her life she held various administrative positions at Miles Kimball, J.I. Case, Franzoi & Franzoi, Marten’s Dairy, & the UW-O Financial Aid office where she retired in 1992. She was wed to Roland S. Grimm on April 30, 1944. Together they ran a dairy, Grimm Farms in the township of Vinland. They were married for 33 years until his death on June 5, 1979. Ruth was a longtime member of the 1st English Lutheran Church in Oshkosh, a 65 year member of Lamplighters, belonged to 20th Century, the Red Hat Society, Sunshine Singers, and a volunteer for the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Elnora (Milton) Frederick; brother, Earl (Delores) Albright; daughter, Catherine (George) Bolton; sister-in-law, Beatrice (Quinten) Swenson; and brother-in-law; Myron (Marjorie) Grimm. She is survived by her daughter, Christine R. Grimm-Kirk; grandchildren: Christa Lee R. (Thomas, II) Brynwood and Jay D. Fleck; great-grandchildren: Brittian A. Henderson, Thomas R. Brynwood III and Forrest H. Brynwood; and great-great granddaughter Scarlett R. Henderson, all of Oshkosh.

A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1013 Minnesota St., Oshkosh, with Rev. Tim Greenwald officiating. Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 6, 2017 in Lakeview Memorial Park, Oshkosh.
