Obituary for James E. Schreiber

James E. Schreiber, age 60 of Oshkosh, died peacefully in his sleep at home on Saturday, April 18, 2009. He was born in New London on October 17, 1948 to Roland and Constance (Shaddock) Schreiber. He married Carmen E. Castro on December 22, 2006.

Jim was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and driving fast cars and motorcycles. During the Vietnam War Jim served two years in the U.S. Army. He worked for Morgan Doors for many years.

Surviving Jim are his wife, Carmen; children, Alanda (Gary) Dewhurst and Mike Herter; grandchildren: Cecile Schreiber, Dylan Dewhurst, and Nicholas Dewhurst; his mother, Constance Schreiber; brother, John Schreiber; sisters: Shirley (Harry) Pelky, Suzanne Schreiber, Mary Schreiber, and Kathy (James) Hobbs; step-children, Luis Enrique Portillo and Ramon Ernesto Portillo; and many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Roland, and a brother, Roland Schreiber.

Funeral services for Jim will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street. Family and friends are invited to attend a time of sharing memories and support at the funeral chapel on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Roosevelt Cemetery in Shawano County.
