Obituary for Barbara Jean Froehlich (Parker)

Barbara J. Froehlich, age 83, of Oshkosh, died Saturday evening, January 5, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center. Born on July 7, 1929, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Howard and Mary Alice (Stille) Parker, she was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
Many interests kept Barbara involved throughout her life, such as: gardening, reading, game shows such as Jeopardy, “playing the slots,” operas, and the Boston Pops. She was a well-known “tinker” with her puzzles at Park View Health Center.
Left to mourn her passing is a son, Peter (Cindy) Froehlich of Oshkosh; a daughter, Mary Jo (Jeff) Nitz of Oshkosh; three grandchildren, April (Fiancé -Dustin) Froehlich of Neenah, Jeren Nitz of Oshkosh, and Deana (A.J.) Vanesky of Oshkosh; two great-grandchildren, Asher and Jude; sister-in-law, Grace Froehlich of Oshkosh; a niece, Jody Garno-Smith; a nephew, Mike Garno;and a special friend, Pauline Werner. Preceding Barbara in death are her parents, a sister, Nancy Garno, and two friends, Dolly Haynes and Betty Werner.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. in Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral chapel.
