Obituary for DuWayne Lee Veach

DuWayne Lee  Veach
DuWayne L. Veach, age 65, of Oshkosh, died Saturday morning, December 9, 2017, at the Wisconsin Veteran’s Home in King, Wisconsin. Born on January 29, 1952, in Oshkosh, the son of Jack and Ila (Tiffany) Veach, DuWayne was a life-long resident of Oshkosh.
On March 31, 1971, DuWayne enlisted in the U. S. Army and honorably served his country until his discharge on January 6, 1977, with the rank of Sp5.
He was a talented artist, known for his work in painting and drawing, but, would do an occasional woodworking piece as a change of pace.
Survivors include his mother, Ila Lane of Manitowoc; two brothers, Doug Veach and Dean (Rochelle) Veach, both of Oshkosh; a sister, Diane (Harley) Ormosen of Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins; and good friends, Greg Shaller, Linton “Mex” Guenther, and Mary Bane. Preceding DuWayne in death is his father, a brother, Dennis Veach, and a sister, Donna Lamp.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017, at 12 Noon, in Seefeld Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, with Pastor Timothy Greenwald officiating. Interment will be at the Veterans Section of Riverside Cemetery with full military honors given. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral chapel. Online condolences to the family may be given at www.seefeldfuneral.com.
