Obituary for David Lee Reynolds

David L. Reynolds, age 63, of Oshkosh, died Wednesday evening, April 29, 2015, at his residence. Born on June 20, 1951, in Berlin, Wisconsin, the son of Carl and Dorothy (Colka) Reynolds, Dave was affectionately known as “Daisy Mae” to his family. On October 14, 1972, Dave married Jeannie Walotka in Oshkosh.
A proud U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, Dave was employed by Morgan Door Company and later followed a life-long dream of becoming a commercial long-haul trucker, working for the Estes Express Line of Neenah/Menasha. He enjoyed gathering wolf figurines, fishing, hunting, motorcycles, conditioning cars, and woodworking. He was very much a “hands on” type of guy.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Jeannie Reynolds of Oshkosh; a daughter, Kathy (Michael) Youngwirth of Adell, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Courtney Youngwirth and Francis Waldecker; a great-grandson, Eli; three brothers, Carl, Walter, and Scott Reynolds; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donna (friend, Mike) Stadmueller, Roger (Terrie) Walotka, Randy (Julie) Walotka, Shirley (Rich) Geen, Nancy Spalding, Edward (Sally) Walotka, Barbara (Randy) Sawall, Patricia Durrant, and Steve Spalding; dear friends, Rodney & Kay, Ross & Linda, Shirley & Earl, Vicki & Mark; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Preceding Dave in death are his grandparents, parents, his brother, Allen Reynolds, mother-in-law, Lorraine Walotka, and brother-in-law, Ward “Duffy” Durrant.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 4, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. in Seefeld Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street. Interment will take place in Minckler Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday with full Military Honors.
