Obituary for Dolores Mae Bahr (Clark)

Dolores M. Bahr, age 83, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 19, 2013, after a courageous battle with liver cancer. Dolores was born February 11, 1930, in Oshkosh to Helen Clark who later married John Hartman.
Dolores married James F. Bahr on July 2, 1949. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Oshkosh and served on several committees over the years including Cub Scouts, Sunday School, and Church Choir. Prior to raising a family, Dolores worked for Woolworth 5&10 and Wisconsin Bell. She also was a grandparent mentor for 17 years through the Oshkosh Learned Parent Program at Smith Elementary before she retired at the age of 80.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years James, children Terrie Westenberger, Stephanie (John) Gregory, Brian Bahr, Candace Bahr, Tanya (Darryl) Hielke, Robin (John) Elmer, and James C. Bahr; grandchildren, Troy (Jennifer) Westenberger, Todd Westenberger, Tyler (Madeline) Westenberger, Tiffany Storey, Christi (Jim) Forbes, Sean Gregory, Christina Ashley Bahr, Colleen (Scott) Footit, Benjamin Baier, Caitlin Baier, Deanna Deising, Dylan Hielke, Madeline Bahr, Noah Elmer, Michael J. Bahr; eight great grandchildren; and a brother, Wallace Clark.
Dolores is preceded in death by her son, Greg, mother, Helen, step-father, John, sister, Phyllis, and brothers, Jim Clark and Robert Hartman.
A special thank you to the Hospice Nurses, Aurora Medical staff, Seefeld Funeral Home, and Pastor Marty Ruge. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. in First English Lutheran Church, 1023 Minnesota Street, with Reverend Marty Ruge officiating. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Tuesday from 12 Noon until service time at the church. A reception will follow the services.
