Obituary for Dorothy B. Schmude (Mueller)

Dorothy B. Schmude, 98, of Oshkosh, passed away, Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Evergreen Retirement Community. Dorothy was born in Oshkosh on March 14, 1914 to William and Edna (Trapp) Mueller. She married Walter H. Schmude on August 6, 1937; he preceded her in death on March 18, 1987. She was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ. Dorothy had worked at the Greyhound Bus Terminal and the Pioneer Inn.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Lorraine (Anthony) Zepczyk of Peacheco, CA, Louise Schmude of Oshkosh; sons, Lavern Schmude of Oshkosh, Walter Schmude, Jr. of Oshkosh, and Leo (Shirley) Schmude of Oshkosh; 14 grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren; brother, Eugene (Joan) Mueller of Oshkosh; sister, Elnore (Donald) Olson of Florida; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter; son, Louis Schmude; grandson, Louis Schmude, Jr.; brother, Kenneth Mueller; and sisters, Emma Theile, Edna Troxell, Lucille King, and Leona Christensen.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Reverend Andi Wolf officiating. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Lake View Memorial Park.
