Obituary for Eileen Theresa Miller (Sweet)

Eileen T. Miller, age 89, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016. She was born in Oshkosh on May 6, 1927, the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Spanbauer) Sweet. On April 17, 1956, she married Lyle Miller. Eileen was baptized at Sacred Heart Church and attended school there for 8 years. She graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1945, and worked at Wisconsin Telephone Company from 1943 until 1956. She then transferred to Michigan Telephone Company in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Eileen moved back to Oshkosh in 1958. She enjoyed crafting, string art, playing the organ, camping on their property on Little Wolf River, spending winters in Florida during retirement, and loved spending time with her family.
Eileen is survived by her children: Doug (Kristy) Miller of Fond du Lac, Jeff (Kay) Miller of Oshkosh, and Duane (Susan) Miller of Oshkosh; grandchildren: Emily, Anna and Jessika Miller, Joshua (Nancy) Galica and Jeremy (Janelle) Galica; great-grandchildren: Riley, Koen, Evan, and Ivy; and a sister, Carol Daubert of Oshkosh. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother Norbert Sweet.
The funeral service for Eileen will be on Monday, May 16, 2016, 11:00 a.m., at Seefeld Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Huff officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Lakeview Estates and Agnesian Hospice Home of Hope, both in Fond du Lac, for their compassionate care.
