Obituary for Germaine Rose Kaiser (Schmitz)

Germaine Rose Kaiser, of Oshkosh, age 87, passed away at Bethel Home on Saturday, July 9, 2016. She was born in Oshkosh on November 7, 1928 the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Schmitz. Germaine and Joseph Kaiser were married in Mexico while on a promotional racing tour. She loved to read, play cards, and was also known to knit. Germaine will be remembered for her kind and loving spirit, and her sarcastic sense of humor right up to the end.
Germaine is survived by her children: Mary (Keith) Voss of Oshkosh and Paul (Kate) Kaiser of Oshkosh; step-grandchildren: Scott (Andrea) Voss, Bekkah, Kimmy and Matthew Richardson; brothers: Bob and Bill Schmitz; sister, Caroline Schumacher; brothers-in-law: Charles (Susan) Hoffman and Don Voss; and sister-in-law, Carol (Richard) Eberhardy. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph; son, Joseph Kaiser III; sisters: Betty Ann (Harley) Sonnenberg and Marie Voss; brother-in-law: Thomas Schumacher; and sisters-in-law: Janet Schmitz, Muriel Schmitz and Virginia (David) Hewitt.
Per Germaine’s wishes, there will be no service. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Park, Oshkosh.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Bethel Home and Aurora Hospice for their care.
