Obituary for Harold Alfred Albrecht

Harold A. Albrecht, age 80, of Oshkosh, died Saturday, December 24, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on August 16, 1925 in the Township of Eldorado to Richard and Adeline (Beduhn) Albrecht. Harold married Dorothy Brehmer on August 24, 1946 in Wittenberg, Wisconsin and she preceded him in death on August 20, 1998.
Harold farmed on the family farm after his marriage, supplementing his income with employment with the Soo Railroad Line. Later he was employed as a power engineer for Peoples Brewery for 15 years and was at Oshkosh Truck Corporation for 1 year. Lastly Harold was employed as a steamfitter for Gartman Mechanical Services until his retirement in 1990.
Harold was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, was an usher, and served on the Building and Grounds Committee. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing dartball, and doing home construction projects for family, neighbors, and friends.
Survivors include three sons: Roger (Pamela) Albrecht of Oshkosh; Ronald (Mary) Albrecht of Oshkosh; Richard Albrecht of McAlester, Oklahoma; one daughter: Rosanne (Jim) Olsen of Woodbine, Georgia; three grandchildren: Jason (Janel) Albrecht, Jeremy (Amanda) Albrecht, and Eric Albrecht; one great-grandson: Tyler Albrecht; two sisters: Marion (Lyneis) Kohlman of Mt. Calvary, Wisconsin; Burnette (Armond) Braeger of Fond du Lac; two brothers-in-law: LaVerne Schroeder and Raymond Rickert, both of Oshkosh; one sister-in-law: Delores Albrecht of Oshkosh; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Preceding Harold in death are his wife; parents, four sisters: Delores Rickert, Lorraine Gillan, Beatrice Albrecht, and Yvonne Schroeder; and one brother: Franklin Albrecht.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at 6:00 p.m. in Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 913 Nebraska Street, with Reverend Gregg Schoeneck officiating. Inurnment will be at Lake View Memorial Park following cremation. A time of visitation and support will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the church. Memorial remembrances are requested to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Harold's memory.
