Obituary for Harry W. Zemke

Harry W. Zemke, age 84 of Oshkosh, died Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at Mercy Medical Center. The son of Walter and Elsa (Knaak) Zemke, he was born March 21, 1921. He married Lucille O'Conner on June 26, 1946. She preceded him in death in July of 2001. Harry is survived by his brother: Walter E. (Jane) Zemke; sister-in-law: Jane Hebert; and many nieces and nephews.

Harry was a long-term employee of General Beverage. He was a jokester seldom starting a conversation with out a joke. Harry served in the Army during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion, and a member of Peace Lutheran Church.

A memorial service will be held for Harry at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 3, 2006, at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street. Friends and family are invited to attend a time of visiting and support at the funeral chapel on tuesday from 12 Noon until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion or the American Lung Association.
