Obituary for John Nathan Weiler

John N. Weiler, age 59, of Oshkosh, died Monday morning, September 5, 2016, at Northpoint Medical & Rehabilitation. Born on September 6, 1956, in Oshkosh, to Edward and Jacqueline (Peterman) Weiler, John was a life-long Oshkosh resident.
A people-person, John enjoyed his work as a salesman and worked within many different industries. He enjoyed his 25’ boat and trips to the Mississippi River, Thursday night WaterFest concerts, deer hunting, playing softball, and shopping trips to Festival Foods. He was a true Wisconsin Sports Fan, following the Packers and Badgers.
Survivors include Chris Richardson of Oshkosh; a sister, Linda Johnson of Oshkosh; a nephew, “Best Buddy” Kevin Johnson of Oshkosh; an aunt, Dorothy Sprague of Appleton; three uncles, Nathan (Mary) Peterman of Oshkosh, David Peterman of Green Bay, and Ralph (Mary Jo) Peterman of Brookfield; and many cousins. John was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and a brother, Paul Weiler.
Memorial funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016, at Peace Lutheran Church, 240 W. 9th Ave., Oshkosh. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in John’s memory. Online condolences to the family may be made at www.seefeldfuneral.com.
