Obituary for Judith Sandra Marie Golz (Gray)

Judith Sandra Marie (Gray) Golz, age 69, of Oshkosh, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2013, after an extended illness. Judy was born on September 28, 1943, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Roy J. and Casmira C. (Kaminski) Gray. They moved to the Oshkosh area where she spent most of her life. She always spoke fondly of her childhood spent living on Sand Pit Road, fishing on Lake Buttes des Morts, and attending Omro Junction School.

Judy loved her yearly trips to Florida and going to Walt Disney World. She always seemed to over tip the wait staff which sometimes made her husband, Jack, cringe. She loved to cook and have family gatherings. She was a wife,
mother and homemaker who only worked odd jobs and used the extra money to buy things for other people. Judy’s true passion in life was overindulging her grandchildren and the many pets she had throughout her life. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. She would start baking cookies and making candy right after the huge Thanksgiving dinners were cleaned up. Most treats would disappear as fast as she could make them, with the rest siphoned off shortly after the holidays were done.

Judy was a dear wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be lovingly missed by her husband of over 51 years, Jack; children, John and Jamie (Heather); grandchildren, Brier, Brandon, Kassie, Garrett and Kerrigan. Judy is further survived by her sister, Margaret (Jim) D’Angelo, her very special beloved nephew, Mike; special cousin, Linda Heidl, and numerous other nieces and nephews and family members. She is also survived by the entire Bill Monroe family who always included her in all their family get-togethers. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Raymond, and her lifelong friend, Darryl Ann Monroe, whom she loved so dearly.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Seefeld Funeral Home, 1025 Oregon St, Oshkosh. Friends may greet the family from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., on Friday, August 9, 2013 or 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. A memorial in Judy’s memory is being established.
