Obituary for Leona M. Reichenberger

Leona M. Reichenberger, age 76 of Oshkosh, lost her battle with cancer on Monday, June 30, 2008. She was born to George and Mary (Etteldorff) DuChateau in Oshkosh on March 29, 1932. She met Gilbert "Gib" Reichenberger and they married on August 13, 1949.

Leona was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Parish, having attended at St. John for many years. She enjoyed sewing and traveling, and loved to spend time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her pets.

Leona is survived by her husband, Gilbert; children: Gilbert (Laurie) Jr., Ronald, Ann (Brian) Albrecht, Thomas (Jennifer), Patti Giese, Daniel (Julie), Mark (Mary), Judy (Mark) Lloyd, and Peter (Tina); daughter-in-law, Mary Reichenberger; 25 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sister, Norma Schuessler; her best friends: Pauline Paulsen and Elaine Streeter; brothers-in-law: Kenneth Reichenberger and Clarence Matsche; and sister-in-law, Aurora DuChateau. Leona was preceded in death by her son, James "Jim"; son-in-law, Phil Giese; grandson, Daniel Reichenberger Jr., brothers: Lawrence, George, Joseph, and Robert DuChateau; sister, Mary Jane Marden; brothers-in-law: Robert Schuessler and Norman Reichenberger; and sister-in-law, Delores Matsche.

Funeral services for Leona will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 300 N. Eagle Street, Father William Van de Kreeke officiating. A time for sharing memories and support will be held at the funeral chapel on Wednesday from 4: 00 P.M. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
