Obituary for Lois Emma Brayton

Lois Emma Brayton, age 77 of Oshkosh was called home to heaven on Monday, April 3, 2006 at Park View Health Center after a short illness. She was born in Oshkosh on July 27, 1928, the daughter of Kenneth and Ann (Griedl) Cross. She married Russell C. Brayton on July 20, 1946.

Lois was employed by: Sears, Bethel Home, and Miles Kimball at different times in her life. She enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, and the faithful companionship of her cats.

Lois is survived by her children: Linda Fischer of Omro, Susan (Dennis) Jones, Maribeth (Randy) Hankwitz, Scott (Nicole) Brayton, and Russell (Susan) Brayton all of Oshkosh; and her sister: Violet Oestreich of Oshkosh. Nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren further survive her. Her parents and husband preceded her in death as well as sister: Olive Wegener; brother: Kenneth "Burley" Cross; and grandson: Jason Jones.

A memorial service for Lois will be held at the Seefeld Family of Funeral Chapels, 1025 Oregon Street, on Thursday, April 6, 2006, at 7:00 P.M., Reverend JoAnn Schoblaski officiating. Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation and support at the funeral chapel on Thursday, from 4:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
