Obituary for Nancy J. Pratsch (Yanko)

Nancy J. Pratsch, age 85, of Oshkosh, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016. She was born in Oshkosh on December 31, 1930 the daughter of the late Joseph and Madeline (Langlitz) Yanko. On September 23, 1950 she married Jerry Pratsch in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on July 3, 1989. Nancy worked as an office manager for 27 years at K-Mart. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her occasional trips to the casino. Nancy was very family oriented and loved to participate in her children’s activities. She will be remembered for her spunky attitude, and her “Krauts.”
Nancy is survived by her sons: Jeffrey (Rhonda) Pratsch of Portage and Timothy (Laurie) Pratsch of Oshkosh; grandchildren: Jodi (Chad) Rauls, Jeffrey (Julie) Pratsch and Ann (Rob) Brenner; great-grandchildren: Gabrielle and Allison Rauls, Isla and Aiden Pratsch, and Isaac and Amara Brenner; sisters: Audrey Yanko and Delores March; sister-in-law, Betty Reifer; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; sister, Josephine Behrend; and five brothers and sisters-in-law.
The funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2016 at ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH, 400 N. Sawyer St., Oshkosh, with Rev. Jeffrey Knoll officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh.
The family extends a special thank you to niece, Susan Schmidt; sister, Delores; and the staff at Mercy Medical Center for their wonderful care.
A memorial fund in Nancy’s name is being established for Zion Lutheran Church.
