I remember our road trips to Clintonville with Bob and Darlene to have Petka Burgers at Lefty Petka's Bar and Grill. Bob always insisted on driving. I think this was due to the fact that the trip was also an opportunity for Bob to give "free" driving instructions to multiple drivers we encountered on the road. I might add, these instructions were well laced with a generous amount of profanity.
Lefty's was a place Dan and Bob stopped often as young men on their way North to either hunt or fish. It was so much fun to return as couples and listen to the two of them reminisce about the old days and the many adventures of their younger years.

My brother in law Bob Harmon was the love of my sister Darlene's life. As kids and adults We loved going to their place on Lake Winnebago, walking to the point and fishing off the pier. He was always open to visits, watching and talking sports and very generous. My most memorable moment was a trip to go trout fishing at the cabin up north as kid. He took me and my brothers Mark and Keith. Although we never mastered fly fishing (many tangled lines in low hanging tree branches) he was patient and because he wanted us to each catch a fish he eventually took us to a Trout Farm (where everyone caught a fish) and we all had that joy of fishing. Later He fried them up and we had a delicious trout meal together. I will never forget it.

RIP Bob ....hope the fishing is good!
