Obituary for Ronald Vaillant

Ronald N. Vaillant, age 68, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully at home with his family and friends by his side on September 1, 2017. Ronald was born on September 27, 1948 to Norbert and Ethel (Bourgoine) Vaillant in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Ronald was a man who loved his family and close friends very much. He was a biochemist for many years, and had owned Heartland Tech as well. He loved to do Bonsai gardening, woodworking, and he loved to travel as well.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, Norbert and Ethel Vaillant, and his aunt and uncle, Gene and Yvonne Vaillant.
Ronald is survived by his fiancee of many years: Bonnie Rumlow, his stepdaughter: Lisa (Ben) Prissel of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, his grandsons: August and Leo Prissel, and his brother: David (Pat) Vaillant of Mena, Arkansas. Ronald is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and very close friends who will miss him dearly.
A prayer service for Ronald will take place on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 6:30 pm at Seefeld Funeral Home. A time of visitation will take place on Thursday, September 7, 2017 between 5:00 and 6:30 pm at the funeral home prior to the prayer service.
Ronald’s family would like to extend a special “thank you” to Affinity Hospice as well as Home Instead, for their care and concern of Ronald during his time of need. The family would also like to thank Dr. Rocke for his care. Thank you to Ronald’s stepdaughter Lisa, for all the love and care that was given to Ronald throughout his time of need.
