Obituary for Ruth Ann Sanders

Ruth Ann Sanders
Ruth A. Sanders, age 67, nee Buskirk, passed away peacefully at Eden Meadows following a battle with cancer on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. She was born in Oshkosh on January 7, 1951, the daughter of the late Gaylord and Fern (Ravey) Buskirk. Ruth lived most of her life in Oshkosh and Appleton. She also lived three and a half years in Georgia where she had a love for the South and always wanted to go back. Ruth loved the outdoors, quiet settings, and photography. She enjoyed family and family gatherings, and playing with her grandkids. If someone needed a helping hand, she was always there, seldom asking for help for herself. Even when she went through chemo, she found ways to help others at the clinic. Ruth loved spending time with her son, Bill, and grandkids; doing cookouts, fishing, watching her son race at local race tracks, watching NASCAR, and the Brewers. She enjoyed spending time with her parents and taking them places. Ruth loved to travel, sightsee and history, including family history. She also had a love for animals.

Ruth is survived by her son, Bill Nicolaison; daughter, Stacy Wheatley; grandchildren: Destiny Nicolaison, Desideria Nicolaison, Chandler Nicolaison, Jonathon Wheatley, Samantha Smith, Faye Wheatley and Maddisen Wheatley; great-grandson, Noah Nicolaison; brothers and sisters; Shirlee (Butch) Gorschels, Edith (Steve) Pascoe, Gary (Paula) Buskirk, Sandy (Joe) Buskirk and David (Lori) Buskirk; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sharon; twin brothers: Gaylord and Melvin; nephew, Joshua Buskirk; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Seefeld Funeral Home, with Rev. Charles Davis officiating. Burial will be in Ostrander Cemetery, New London.

The family extends a special thank you to Daniel for his wonderful care and support. Further, thank you to the Dr. Gremminger, Fox Valley Oncology and Hematology, and the staff at Eden Meadows for their wonderful care.
