Obituary for Virginia Mae Roeder

Virginia M. Roeder, age 83, of Oshkosh, passed away on May 20, 2017 with her family at her side. She was born January 2, 1934 to the late Daniel and Edna (Thomas) White in Cambria, Wisconsin. In 1953 Virginia married Donald Roeder at Algoma Methodist Church in Oshkosh, they remained married for 59 years until Donald’s passing in 2012.
Virginia was employed at Evergreen Retirement home and worked for various orthopedic surgeons in Oshkosh throughout her life. Virginia was a lifelong member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Oshkosh. She always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Virginia is preceded in death by her husband Donald, brother David White, and her parents Daniel and Edna (Thomas) White.
Left to mourn her passing are her three sons: Rodney (Lusia) Roeder of Florence, Oregon, Rick (Penney) Roeder of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and Donald K. (Veronica) Roeder of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, sisters: Mary Krueger of Oshkosh, and Helen (Ken) Jooss of Chapel Hill, South Carolina, six grandchildren: Kelsey, Kyle, Amy, Renee, Alex, and Avery Roeder.
The family of Virginia would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Brookdale Senior Living for their care of Virginia during her time with them.
Funeral services for Virginia will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at the Seefeld Funeral Chapel, 1024 Oregon St., at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be at the funeral chapel on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 12:30 p.m. to the time of service at 2:30 p.m. Online Condolences to the family may be made at www.seefeldfuneral.com
