Obituary for Virginia F. Wing (Kunde)
Virginia Florence Wing, age 84 of Oshkosh, died February 5th, 2013, at Park View Health Center. Virginia was born on March 14th, 1928, in Oshkosh, to Harvey and Florence (Cartwright) Kunde, she was a life-long Oshkosh resident and member of Peace Lutheran Church. She married Adelbert (Del) M. Wing in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on March 16th, 1982.
For many years Virginia was employed at Joe's, Delicious & Heiss bakeries in Oshkosh. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her late sister, Helen Kunde and special grandson, Nick Holzer, of whom she thought the world of. Virginia also enjoyed playing cards, going for rides, sitting in the park, going to the casino, sewing or just sitting in her chair and relaxing.
Left to mourn her passing are her three children, Gary (Barbara) Wing, Vicky (Leo "Butch") Lemiesz, and Janet (Christopher) Holzer, a brother, Gilbert Kunde; two sisters, Mary Jane (Delvin) Orth and Charlotte (Pastor Julius) Manteufel; sisters-in-law, Barbara Kunde and Eleanor Wing; an aunt, Erna Cartwright; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Ellen Faust, Betty Lund and Deb & Rick Hanford. Preceding Virginia in death is her father on October 30, 1978; her mother on May 22, 2000; brother, Richard F. Kunde on February 2, 1992 and sister, Helen R. Kunde on April 23, 2011.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 9th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Chruch, 240 W. 9th Avenue, with Reverend John Worzala Dumke and Reverend Ralph Hanusa officiating. Interment in Riverside Cemetery will follow the services. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Saturday, February 9th, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
