Jim Veith (nephew via sister Alice)

When I was a little boy, Uncle Jack returned home from the Navy and lived with my family for a short period of time. When he enlisted both his Mom and Dad were living, but both had died by the time his service had ended. Every day at lunch I would come home from school and Uncle Jack would come home from work and we'd play cribbage together. He taught me "how fast a good player discards." I've improved my play over the years, so I hope that Uncle Jack does some practicing in heaven and can one day welcome me to further competitions. I miss you, dear Uncle, I am proud you were a member of our family.
