Sorry to hear of Carol's death. She was an amazing woman and did a wonderful job of representing the people in her community and the Welch settlement. My mother, Hallie Rusch, was a great supporter of Carol Owens. I had a nice visit with your mother a couple years ago while having lunch at the Roxy. I remember best sharing a box lunch with her and my mother in the cemetery of Bethesda Church at, I believe, the 175th anniversary of the church. The lunches were auctioned off by Bill Jones and Tom Rusch. Our prayers are with your family at this difficult time. (Farragut, Tennessee)
